THREE people were feared killed at Rumuchakara community in Choba, one of the host communities of the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The Guardian gathered that a former National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, who passed out Thursday, rammed into a roadside shop in the community on his way back from where he had gone with his undergraduate friend in the university to celebrate his successful passing out of the scheme.
An eyewitness told The Guardian that an argument suddenly ensued between the victims and the shop owner, who insisted on being paid for the damages.
It was learnt that as the argument lingered, some group of boys came and shot at them and drove off, resulting in the death of the three, while the shop owner ran away.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, Mr. Ben Ugwuegbulam, confirmed the incident, noting that security agents had begun investigation into the matter.
