Tooth Brushing Challenge, Nigeria Sets New World Record


 
About 300,000 pupils from across 600 public schools in Lagos, Thursdays made history as they set a new World Record in tooth brushing challenge. The new record by the pupils which represents the new Guinness Book of Records in tooth brushing was achieved by brushing their teeth simultaneously for one minute across 326 multiple locations in the state.
It will be recalled that the previous record of 177, 003 was set by India in 2007. Children brushing for the Wold Record, Thursday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. The founder of HEIT Solutions, and the convener of the Tooth Brushing Challenge Project, Dr. Lawal Bakare, at exactly, 2.15pm, signalled the commencement of  the challenge at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, after he had certified that each of the participants has a tooth brush and toothpaste provided by Unilever Nigeria Limited, one of the event sponsors.
